Lets start at the beginning......
IP stands for ‘Internet Protocol'; it's a language or a way of communicating. An obvious example of the use of IP is an email. An email is written, the send button is clicked, but then what happens?
What happens is, using the internet protocol or ‘way of doing things', it is broken down into a series of data packets by a router then sent along a broadband connection. At the other end it is put back together and delivered as words on a computer screen.
